Great-Grandladies

It suddenly struck me (dunno why) to draw a picture of Mask Face with Pooka, her great-grandmother, to observe the similarities between them, of which there are several. 😀 That white mask is one of Pooka’s making (don’t ask me how she carved masks so well without any eyes in her head), and she was an amazing dancer. Masky ended up with one of Pooka’s masks in her possession, which she often wears for the same reason Pooka wore them… to cover her deformations. Masky only had to make a minor adjustment in carving out one of the eyes. It also seems that, even though Pooka and Masky might never get to meet each other (this remains to be seen), Masky’s DNA still hears the echoes of her great-grandmum’s dances and when she is lost in her cello-playing, said dances can often peek out a bit… nothing as elaborate as what Pooka did, but still. 😀

More on the Art page as always. 🙂
